Osmo LED Smart-Oil is an instant LED-UV curing hardwax-oil for wood – the finish that's ready the moment you cure it. Ideal for wooden flooring, staircases, furniture and similar interior surfaces, it's the professional's answer for woods rich in extractives and for busy or public spaces where waiting for a finish to dry simply isn't an option.
Cured instantly under the Osmo UV LED Smartlight Pro lamp (395nm), LED Smart-Oil delivers a highly durable, hardwearing surface that is water and dirt repellent. Like all Osmo finishes, it is microporous and breathable – it will not crack, peel or flake.

Coverage and Application
One coat gives a natural matt finish. For a satin finish, lightly sand the first coat (P240–320) and apply a second thin coat (5–10 ml/m²) before curing again.
Wood surfaces must be clean, dry and frost-free, with a moisture content below 12%. Completely remove any old paint or varnish. Fill gaps with wood filler, then sand progressively from coarse to fine – finishing with P100–120 for floors or P120–180 for furniture. Vacuum thoroughly before application.
Application
- Stir the tin thoroughly. Do not dilute.
- Apply thinly with a double-bladed spatula or microfibre roller.
- Spread with a white pad, massaging the product into the surface and smoothing the area without streaks.
- Cure with the Osmo UV LED Smartlight Pro at a distance of at least 2 cm and no more than 10 cm from the surface – the finish dries instantly.
- For a satin finish, lightly sand (P240–320), apply a second thin coat and cure again.

Coverage
Exceptional coverage of 40–50 m² per litre with one coat – a little goes a very long way.

Clear Matt is also available in the economical 2.5 L size for larger flooring projects.
