by Osmo
R 899.90
Colour: Clear Satin 3232

Osmo PolyX Hardwax Oil Rapid is a quick-drying protective wood treatment for interior use. It combines natural oils and waxes to form a hardwearing and durable finish which is ideal for wooden flooring and furniture.

Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil provides a warm and rich effect that brings out the true beauty of all woods by emphasising the grain and promoting its natural characteristics. Exceptional durability is achieved. Microporous and will not crack, flake or peel.

Resistant to common household spillages. Application is by brush or roller with coverage up to 24sq/m per litre. Touch dry in up to 1 hour and recoatable after 4 to 5 hours.

Surface Preparation

Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).

Osmo UV-Protection-Oil Exra is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well before use.
If possible, please apply the first coat to all sides before installation.

Fresh wood, containing natural wood extractives and especially hard wood needs to weather off (for approximately 6 weeks) after installation. Thereby the wood becomes absorbent and the wood finish adheres optimally.

Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed.

As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works. Do not sand smooth surfaces finer than P120.

The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.

Method of Application

With Flat Brush,  Microfibre Roller or Floor Brush, apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well within 10-15 minutes.

Allow to dry for approx. 4-5 hours under good ventilation. After drying, apply a second coat, also thinly and quickly. Avoid covering during drying and curing. After 2-3 weeks, the surface is fully cured.

When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.
