Osmo Spray-Wax is the spray-applied version of the renowned Polyx®-Oil system, developed for professional and high-quality applications where speed, consistency and durability are essential. It combines natural oils and waxes to create an extremely tough, microporous finish that protects the wood while preserving its natural look and feel.
Designed for use on interior timber surfaces, Osmo Spray-Wax is highly resistant to water and dirt, making it suitable for demanding areas including wet rooms. Its breathable, microporous structure allows moisture to escape, ensuring the finish will not crack, peel, flake or blister over time.
The finish is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it safe for children’s toys and frequently handled surfaces

Surface Preparation
Wood surfaces must be clean, dry and frost-free, with a maximum moisture content of 18%. Osmo Spray-Wax is supplied ready to use and should not be thinned. Stir well before use.
Old microporous finishes must be thoroughly cleaned, while paints and lacquers must be completely removed. Fill cracks or holes with Osmo Wood Filler and sand the surface carefully. Final sanding should be:
-
Flooring: grit P120–150
-
Furniture: grit P220–240
Remove all sanding dust before application. As the final appearance is influenced by the condition and species of the wood, a trial application is always recommended.
Method of Application
Osmo Spray-Wax can be applied using a cup spray gun, airless/air-mix or HVLP system. It may also be applied by brush or cloth for smaller areas.
1st coat:
Apply approx. 35–40 g/m² (3010 Natural: 20–25 g/m²). Allow good ventilation during drying. Light de-nibbing can be carried out using P220 grit if required.
2nd coat:
Apply approx. 35–40 g/m² once the first coat is dry.
When using Spray-Wax 3010 Natural, the second coat can be selected based on the desired appearance:
-
Top coat with 3010 Natural for a slightly white colouration
-
Top coat with 3084 Clear for a “like untreated” look
