Osmo Door Oil is a specialist oil-and-wax finish designed for veneered interior doors and selected furniture surfaces. It provides a durable, microporous surface that protects against moisture, dirt and daily wear, while maintaining a natural, refined appearance.

Developed for thin veneer surfaces, Door Oil applies easily, dries evenly and is simple to maintain—making it ideal for modern interior doors and high-touch areas.

Surface Preparation

  • Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (max. moisture content 18%)

  • Product is ready to use – do not thin. Shake well before use

  • For solid doors, thoroughly clean old microporous finishes

  • Old paints, varnishes and lacquers must be completely removed

  • When renovating veneered doors, always confirm with the door manufacturer that renovation is possible

  • Fill small cracks or holes using Osmo Wood Filler

  • Sand carefully: finish sanding at P120–150 for solid wood doors

  • Remove sanding dust thoroughly with a vacuum or soft brush

  • Where possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation

Method of Application

  • Apply thinly and evenly using an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller

  • Work along the wood grain and spread well

  • When using Door Oil 3033 Raw, remove excess white pigment before drying

  • Ensure good ventilation during drying

  • Once dry, apply a second thin coat
