Osmo Garden Furniture Oil is a clear, high-performance oil designed to protect, maintain, and refresh outdoor wooden furniture and decking. It penetrates deeply into the wood, enhancing its natural appearance while providing durable resistance to water and dirt.
Suitable for both hardwoods and softwoods, the oil is easy to apply and remains workable during application, allowing for smooth, even coverage. The microporous, breathable finish will not crack, peel, or flake and allows the wood to weather naturally. Once dry, it is biocide-free and safe for people, pets, and plants.
Maintenance is simple — no sanding is required when refreshing worn areas.

Surface Preparation & Application
The wood must be clean, dry, frost-free, and have a moisture content below 20%. Wood species with high extractive content may require a weathering period before application. Greyed wood should be de-greyed using Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel. Old varnishes must be completely removed, while old microporous finishes should be cleaned or lightly sanded.
Osmo Garden Furniture Oil is ready to use — do not thin. Stir well before use. Apply thinly and evenly with a stiff brush or lint-free cloth, working with the grain. Allow to dry with good ventilation and apply a second thin coat.
Where possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation. For added protection against blue stain, rot, or insect attack, pre-treat with Osmo WR Base Coat. A trial application is always recommended.
Important Notes
-
The oil is clear and does not provide UV protection against greying
-
Rough or ribbed timber will absorb more product
- Some wood species may naturally leach colour extractives when exposed to weather
- Thermowood should be treated within two weeks of processing
Care & Maintenance
Clean regularly using Osmo Decking Cleaner. For deeper cleaning or green growth, use Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel or Osmo Gard Clean. Recoat with one thin coat when signs of wear appear — sanding is not required.
