Slip-Resistant Protection for Wooden Decking

Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is a specialist exterior oil designed to provide enhanced slip resistance for wooden decking while maintaining the natural beauty of the timber.

This clear satin top coat is applied over Osmo Decking Oil to create a durable, slip-resistant surface suitable for outdoor environments. The finish contains specially developed organic non-slip granules that provide excellent grip underfoot, improving safety on exterior decking areas.

Based on natural vegetable oils and waxes, the oil penetrates deeply into the wood and forms a durable, microporous surface that allows the timber to breathe. Unlike traditional film-forming coatings, it will not crack, peel or flake over time.

Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is recommended as a top coat over two coats of Osmo Decking Oil.

The Decking Oil provides colour, UV protection and base protection for the timber, while the Anti-Slip Decking Oil creates the slip-resistant surface layer for improved safety.

Coverage & Application

• Coverage: Approx. 24m² per litre per coat

• Application: Apply thinly as a top coat over fully dried Osmo Decking Oil

• Drying time: Approx. 12 hours

• Apply to clean, dry and frost-free timber

Fresh timber containing natural wood extracts should be allowed to weather before applying any decking finish.

Maintenance

Decking surfaces should be cleaned regularly using Osmo Decking Cleaner and a decking brush. When signs of wear appear, simply apply a refresher coat to the clean and dry surface — no heavy sanding required.
